Rankin County Permit Requirements

Please verify if customer is located in the Barnett Reservoir, if so,

check the below list for address, if address is listed check the Barnett Reservoir Permit Requirements.

Commercial:

- Construction permanent

- Construction temporary (if meter is on construction trailer & not on a pole)

- Upgrade, Rewire, Repair

- Emergency repairs—after hours, weekends, holidays reconnect without a permit

- Please send perm ticket

- Please inform customer permit needs to be received next business day

Residential:

- EXEMPTION: 200 & 201 Timberlake Drive (These are campers not Mobile Homes) No Permit is required

- Construction permanent

- Upgrade, Rewire, Repair

- Construction temporary (if meter is on construction trailer & not on a pole)

- Emergency repairs—after hours, weekends, holidays reconnect without a permit

- Please send perm ticket

- Please inform customer permit needs to be received next business day

All Mobile Home Movement:

- Mobile Home Registration (MHR)

Only required for the following:

- A mobile home moved from one county to another

- A mobile home sold (like transferring a car title)

- A mobile home moved to a location where there never has been service (Tech)

- Mississippi State Fire Marshall permit (1-888-648-0877)

- County Permit
