Entergy Wins Top Industry Awards from the Edison Electric Institute
Entergy was awarded the Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award, recognizing the company's help in returning power to 46,000 Public Service of Oklahoma customers after a January 2007 ice storm. Forbes magazine has recognized Entergy Corporation in their listing of the 100 Most Trustworthy Companies in the United States, based on analysts provided by Audit Integrity, a Los Angeles-based firm that conducts research on corporate governance best practices. Entergy was the only energy or electric company on the list, drawn from 8,000 public companies; and ranked among the large cap companies listed, which included Gap, Avaya, Costco, Manpower and H.J. Heinz.
