Shawn Corkran was named vice president of reliability in November 2022. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing safety, operations, construction, reliability improvement, engineering, asset planning, distribution dispatching, meter services, contract management, and emergency restoration for the company’s transmission and distribution systems across the company’s service territory in Mississippi.

Corkran started his career in engineering with Entergy in 1992. Since that time, he has held several technical and leadership positions with the company in Louisiana and Texas in transmission, distribution, customer operations and supply chain.

Most recently, Corkran served as the manager of transmission and distribution design basis and director of supply chain enablement. He has also served as vice president of strategic supply chain projects, vice president of customer operations support, director of transmission and distribution operations for Entergy Texas, Inc., and manager of the texas transmission Grid, where he managed the maintenance of the company’s transmission and substation assets.

He graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
